… don’t people chatter a lot! Do you ever want some peace!
I sat in the cafe
Amid the chatter
People do natter!
Their words come forth in endless stream
Words, do they know what they really mean
This and that
Was it her or him
Amid this verbal endless din
Did you know
Oh what a so and so!
She uttered this
He did that
Was he really wearing a different hat
Do you honestly believe what they say
Or take it with a pinch of salt today!
Talking is something we all do best
To be silent would be a test
To hold that secret in your heart
You’d surely explode for a start!
Do we talk too much, oh for sure
I really must close that door
So I don’t have to listen, it’s loud
I need to put my head in a cloud!
I think sometimes it would be best
If we held our tongues, just a request
My head is aching with all the noise
And here as I quietly poise
I’ll meditate in strong repose
And breath deep breaths through my nose
And let it all go over my head
And not worry or fret about what is said
So take heed of my words here
And have a conscience to hold dear
And don’t forget when you open your mouth
All your words go north and south
Make sure they are worthy and true
As everyone will listen to you
Once said not to be taken back
So consideration do not lack
They are flown from your lips like gushing rain
And the World will never be the same again!
Whisper whisper! Keep it quiet
With your verbal conversational diet
A Zen moment I will begin
Amid this chaotic chatty din
Make a wish ….
