Sammy The Seal

….there was a baby seal washed up on the beach in Southend on Sea last week so these are his thoughts, hope he is ok?

Sammy The Lost Seal

I got washed up on the beach today

And I’ve lost my mum

I really don’t know where I am

I am feeling rather glum

I hope some one will rescue me

How did I end up up in Southend on Sea!

For goodness sake

The earth did quake

And I ended up on this sand

So please give me a hand

To get back to me mum

It surely is no fun

And all the people look at me

On Facebook and on Twitter too

But all I need is some help

I really am so blue

My name is Sammy the seal you see

I got lost in the ocean

I just need to get back home

Don’t need no fuss and commotion

Lots of people are saying arghhhh

But that really is no good

I wish they understood

Take me home

To you I plea

I’ll have fish fingers

Whilst you have tea

Ooh my rescuers are here right now

It was nice chatting to you anyhow

Can’t wait to get back to me mum

So cheerio

I take a bow

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at https://rosypoems.com
