Rose blooming

Photos of roses in my garden here in Shrewsbury

What is your favourite flower? Do you think any bloom can beat the Rose ? 🌹 🥀❤️

Blooming Rose

A beautiful rose

With scent like heaven

Petals closed

Then reach for the sky

As they open

To gather in the sun

Dew drops glisten like diamonds

On their velvet skin

Give comfort and peace

As the thorns stay still

On the stem

To protect

From danger

There is nothing compares to a rose

Peachy colours

Or blood red

White and mauve

There is just a treasure trove

Of roses today

All the flowers are miracles

Begonias lillies daffodils and such

But I would say

Without a doubt

There is none

As lovely

As a beautiful rose

I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future.
