Paths

Sometimes when I walk around Shrewsbury i think for one moment I am still in Southend on sea, Or Hockley where I was born, maybe similar path looks the same..
Different Paths the same
I walked along the road
It is a different pa
But sometimes it feels just the same
As paths I’ve walked before
There are the trees
The cars
The houses

The people passing by
It could be any road
But one I’ve already walked…
Deja vu
Does it come to you
As you walk along your path
The same things to do
The same things to say
But this path is different
Come what may
The bird flew over
Many miles away
And there I saw it again
On my fence today!
No matter where I be
Whether in country
Or in town
In my casual clothes
Or even a posh gown
Different roads
And different folks
But it all just feels the same
Nothing is really different
In this lifelong game

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at https://rosypoems.com
