Forget Me Knot!

Forget Me Knot

forget me not

will you not

are you my facebook friend

so may profiles posting here

some friends are so very dear

whilst others I hardly know

should I stay or should I go

now forget me knot

is a lovely flower

tiny and so blue

very delicate and fragile

peeping out in the summer sun

looking to the day in its tiny way

Sometimes in life

We need some peace

To wander quietly

In our own thoughts

Take solace in the tones

Of nature

Hear the birds sing

The rain gently fall

The breeze whisk through the trees

The sea laps gently on the shore

And so

My heart beats gently once more

I won’t listen to the idle chatter

I’ll let it go and won’t matter

So please be still

Just let things go

You never know

This day could may be overcast

Or sunny still

And all that’s past

Will be like dust in the wind ..

So let it be …

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at https://rosypoems.com
