Isn’t the grass always looking greener elsewhere? What do you think?
There is place not far away
I think about it every day
Cos this place here is not the same
And I really don’t want to complain
But the grass looks greener over there
So I think it’s only fair
To take a look
At a different book
We often wish for something new
When where we are has grown a cloudy view
With restless hearts we feel empowered
As a dark cloud over us has towered
So I’ll pack my bags and find that meadow green
I think you know what I mean
Sometimes a fresh start can resurrect our souls
And make us once again as whole
It’s worth a try for sure
So once again I’ll close my door
And open this one, it looks quite nice
And I could be happy in a thrice
But I believe what really counts
It really does in essence amount
To not where you are but who you share you time with …
anywhere you can live …
But loved ones close is what serves our spirit best
And really that is the quest
To be happy and content
And with that I’ll leave this vent
I can see that grass over there
It’s calling me
I’ll drink my tea
And I’ll be gone
So long!
