Years ago it was never known
To have a mobile phone
Now we use them day by day
And really they do get in the way
I’ll put it down and feel quite lost
I must keep it near me at all cost!
Facebook, instagram, whats app, Twitter
If I can’t see these I get all a jitter!
and snapping photos is easy to do
I’ll take a selfie and then me of you!
Then its on Facebook in a flash
And I really must dash
To answers my post I put up today
Is that ok?
Rather than talk in person my head is down
Looking at my phone, what a clown
What are we missing with this techi stuff
It really has pulled our bluff
Missing friendships, chatter, and all that’s real
Even whilst eating our meal
Our conviction to the phone is strong
There must be something really wrong
With the way things have gone today
What can I say!
Our addiction to our phone
Was never so well known
But a part of our life, it’s here to stay
come what may
Hey wait a moment I’ve got a text
I must answer it lest
I’ll feel lost if I don’t do that
And that is that
So bye for now I’ll see you soon
Cos I really must get on my phone!
