There was a fuschia bud lying on the ground in the garden on the art ministry garden the other day so it inspired me to write this little poem….you see if you take a flower you can press it between the leaves of a book and it can be used to make a picture and then it will last forever…like true love…
This beautiful fuchsia Lies here
On the path
It’s colours near faded
But they shine
Against the concrete
Don’t tread on it
Take it
In your hands
And treasure it
A broken bud
That can be nurtured
And pressed
Between leaves
To make a picture
Still
Not in bloom
But still there
Of what it could have been
Had it stayed
On the stem still living
It will stay for ever
Pressed and dried
Rather than wilt and die
Take it your hand
Hold it forever
In your heart…
