My Katy cat has helped to the poem this week. Have good day everyone
Katy cat ditty
I have friend her name is Polly
Well she is…. sort of jolly
My mum you see she has gone a bit blind
Oh my goodness what a bind!
So a Guide Dog she has decided to have… it’s a good idea
But not for a pussycat like me I fear!
Polly is a good though I have to say
But far to large …but any way!
I rub up against her now and then
Not just now.. but normally when
We both want our tea and stare at mum
It really is so much fun!
But when mums not looking
Still doing the cooking
I give Polly a swipe
With my artful paws just out of sight
She never knows I have done this deed
As when we are ready to get our feed!
Polly does look after me I have to say
When out in the garden we go to play
The world out there is full of adversity and fear
With the cat next door giving us both a tear
Polly barks in angry voice
As this cat next door always takes the choice
To wander in our garden small
And with a loud meow I have to give out a call!
Polly is there in a trance
She really does a barking dance!
And sees that pussycat off right away
So we can have a peaceful day
Now sometimes Betsie cockerpooh comes to see us
Another dog, oh goodness gracious!
Well I have to tolerate this with a sigh
As I watch these daft doggies walk on by
They sniff and scrabble and play with balls
Do they have no grace at all!
Not like us cool cats who can jump up high
And knock the plants off the table as we go by!
And scatch the best furniture with no thought at at all
Eat too many treats and sick on the floor, what a ball!
But Polly is really now my friend
I think we’re together til the end
Unless by luck mum gets her vision back
Then Polly will be let off with much slack
And a Guide Dog she would no longer need be
And we could both eat salmon and chips for tea
We three think it will be wonderful…..
If this could
I believe it should
Happen soon me dear
Before another day is here! Please!
Where’s that comfy cushion!
